Northern SAR Roundtable

The Northern SAR Roundtable's mandate is to focus on SAR program and policy issues that are common to Northern territories and regions. The roundtable is a forum for SAR organizations, represented by the federal and territorial governments, as well as for recognized volunteer organizations. All topics raised in this forum should be directed towards Northern SAR and circumstances unique to the North. Issues can be drawn from the full gamut of the SAR program including, but not limited to, operational response, policy, regulation, prevention, training and mitigation.

The roundtable includes representation from federal government departments involved in Search and Rescue, the territorial governments of the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and the region of Nunavik. Copies of the briefings presented at these meetings are contained in this site.
