The Canadian Safety Boating Council (CSBC)
2012 Symposium
Gravenhurst, Ontario
September 23rd to 25th, 2012

The Canadian Safe Boating Council (CSBC) is hosting its annual Symposium in beautiful Gravenhurst, Ontario from September 23rd to the 25th. This is a great event for: professional development and learning for boating safety enthusiasts; sharing new safe boating research and innovative ideas; and, connecting with boating safety organizations to exchange information and resources.

The CSBC anticipates some 100 participants – from government policy makers, not-for-profit organizations, marine law enforcement, first responders, boating safety instructors and course providers, to marina operators, volunteers, marine manufacturers and more. International participants from the Australia, Mexico, the United States and the United Kingdom will enrich the mix.

Like last year's Symposium in St. John's, a special feature will be two full-day workshops, one prior to and the other concurrent with the main programme, focusing on "Cold Water Response" for those keen on hands-on training. These workshops are a great learning opportunity for boating instructors and course providers.

For more information (including the Symposium agenda) and to register, visit the CSBC web-site at www.csbc.ca/index.php/en/component/content/article/45/217-2012-annual-symposium. The hotel reservation deadline is August 15th.
