About SARSCENE Magazine
Message from the NSS Executive Director:
Sadly, and after 13 years of publication, the SARSCENE magazine is no longer. The last edition was published for the SARscene Conference in October of 2011. We hope that with the appropriate resources in place, it may be published again in the future. In the meantime, we invite you to continue to share your SAR stories and news items on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/#!/sarscene and on Twitter @SarsceneCanada, or to contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
SARSCENE magazine is published by the National Search and
Rescue Secretariat, and is distributed free of charge to people involved
in or associated with SAR.
A bilingual publication, the magazine provides information
to the Canadian and international search and rescue community about best
practices, projects funded by the New Search and Rescue Initiatives Fund,
success stories, SAR news, inter-agency co-operation and book reviews
for air, marine and ground search and rescue.
The first issue of SARSCENE Magazine was published in 1991 by
the National Search and Rescue Secretariat and has been available online
since 1998.The magazine's printed format ended with the April 2004 issue, since then
issues have been published online.
